| I have mentioned a new tree I am working on and even though it is not done I wanted to post some photos of it. I also have a male/female pair of sable that I have almost finished, I just have some fine details to do but I am getting better and better at making them. I have decided to make a new pair for my diorama, this pair is to be sent out this week, and on the diorama is the first two I made (I made a second set in the exact same pose for a member earlier) and all of the ones inbetween, including this pair, have all been sold or traded away. Not to worry, I can make more The tree is not finished and my battery on the camara ran out so I didn't get a photo of the best angle, the way it will be displayed on the diorama you can see the layers of foliage, there are 3 different layers and in the photos I have shown they are not as apparent as on the front view but when I am finished I will post more photos and from a better angle. I still have to fill out the tree top and airbrush the final color and paint over the white flowers to finish the leaves. I use preserved natural foliage, plain dry foliage tends to fall apart after a year or so while preserved plants last for years and years if they are protected from pests and excessive heat. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I put the Schleich zebra in the background for a size comparison, sable are just a little (a few inches in each deminsion) longer and taller then a zebra so my antelope are slightly larger then the zebra in the photo. Hope you like them, here they are [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| My camara battery is fully charged so I took a better photo of the top of the umbrella acacia to give a better look at the foliage. I am going to make it fuller, adding more foliage, tonight I have been cutting the foliage to put it on in the next few days. My goal is to have full canopy on the top and right now it is looking a little thin. I'll post some photos when I am done and it is up on the diorama. | I have a couple of places where I buy foliage, I think this one came from a wholesale wreath supply house, it is used as a filler. It isn't what I was looking for, and I wanted the dark green with no white but this is what is available at this time so I took it. I have another place that is on the east coast of the USA that sells several types that I use as well and from the craft store called Micheal's. but I don't think they are able to ship out of the country because of the agracultural rules and regulations. |

Thank you, I am happy everyone likes the tree. On the gazelle, it is a figure made for a set of animals not available in the USA, but it is available in Germany if not more places in Europe. Willy sent it to me but I can't remember the brand, so maybe Willy will reply or you could PM him. |
